I found the same (read: "older") version of the Saucony ProGrid Ride shoes that I loved and ran all of my 5Ks in back in the day. They are just like this:
i need new shoes too - i think i've been using the same 20 dollar pair i got from walmart 8 years ago - is fine for lifting weights but my feet take a beating during cardio - for some reason i'm stingy when it comes to spending money on shoes
Oh, you should totally try Luke's Locker or Run On...once. If you go there, they will look at how you run and how you wear your shoes, and will help you find the best shoes for your feet. Since I tried them, I haven't had shin splints, something I always used to get. Once you find a style that you like, you can go online and find last season's colors at a cheaper price. I had the shoes that I just bought in pink two years ago. I paid $120 for them back then. I found these on a clearance rack at DSW for $49!!!
Let me know when you get your shoes. We'll go for a run!
